Megan Brown

M.Ed., Ed.S., RYT-200

Megan’s approach to therapy is informed by both personal and professional experiences; she is passionate about supporting healing from complex trauma, developmental attachment ruptures, addiction, domestic violence, sexual assault, and family estrangement, as well as navigating life as a highly sensitive person (HSP). She works to cultivate a non-pathologizing, collaborative environment for therapy and believes that we all possess the innate capacity to know and tend to ourselves deeply.
Megan works with individual teens (14+) and adults traversing the complexities of life, including depression, anxiety, and grief, and the process of honing an identity that reflects and honors each of our unique journeys. Megan is celebratory and inclusive of all communities.
As a former licensed school psychologist, Megan has extensive experience with psycho-educational assessment and working with families through the exceptional education evaluation process. She also serves Journey part-time in the capacity of a Certified Psychological Assistant, collaborating with psychologists in their evaluation work.
Megan returned to graduate school to obtain a second master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to work more closely and longer term in supporting folks’ paths to wellbeing. She is also an RYT-200 yoga teacher certified in the Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method (TCYM) and draws on knowledge of the nervous system and related somatic practices in her approach to therapy. Megan is an avid reader and a lover of travel, animals, being outside, & finding the little joys.
