Kimberly Keene, LMFT
I work with adolescents ages 13 and older, adults, couples, and families who are navigating challenges such as ADHD, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship concerns, and the many transitions that can arise throughout the family life cycle. Whether you’re a teenager trying to find your footing, an adult facing a difficult season, or a family working through change, I believe therapy can be a place to slow down, gain perspective, and find a path forward.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 20 years working in education and hold a Gifted Endorsement as a teacher. That experience gives me a unique understanding of adolescents, families, school-related stress, and the ways learning styles and individual differences can shape a young person’s experience. I approach therapy through a systemically informed lens, which means I consider not only what is happening within an individual, but also the relationships, environments, and life experiences that influence how we understand ourselves and interact with others.
My style is relaxed, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. I don’t believe therapy should feel rigid or one-size-fits-all. Instead, I work alongside clients to better understand patterns, identify strengths, and develop practical ways of responding to life’s challenges. My goal is to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported while working toward meaningful change in your life and relationships.
