they/them, M.S.Ed.

I encourage folks to explore, honor and become curious about the living and evolving multicultural identities in our lives. My Queerness, age & ability, parenthood, gender expression, marital status, race, ethnicity, class and other identities impact my relationships, my practice and our world. I first came out as a bi-/pansexual adult in the small city of Racine, WI. I have a law degree in health care law & policy from the University of Maryland. I spent some time studying medicine at Johns Hopkins before taking leave to parent and homeschool for nearly a decade with 4 kiddos. After working for years as a crisis advocate in Vermont and NH, I now happily live in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where I recently graduated with a clinical mental health counseling degree from UT-Martin.

I provide counseling under the guidance and supervision of a licensed mental health provider at Journey. I look forward to meeting and connecting with You! I seek to work primarily with tweens, teens, parents, partners and adults of all ages.

LGBTGEQIAP+ identified, welcoming and connected

Building a safe relationship and effectively communicating and working together toward active goals, objectives, advocacy and activism is at the heart of my person-centered, feminist and multicultural therapeutic space. Your voice is so important here.

-Being a straight or Queer parent of Queer and Ally kiddos is lovely and it can be hard. It would be a privilege to connect and support You and Your Family as a fellow parent in this context.

-Being discriminated against or otherwise harmed due to your gender, sexuality or other multicultural identity is wrong and You deserve support. Let’s work together to find support for You and Your kiddos in spaces of gender based and other forms of interpersonal, cultural and institutional violence.

-Culturally marginalized relationship models, whether Gay, Queer, ENM or Poly, can be fulfilling and amazing, and they can be difficult. Let’s figure out the safest and most loving ways to be in relationship and be held in care. I would be honored to connect and support You and Your Partner(s) in this context.

I am trained in Gottman Method Levels 1 and 2 for couples therapy, by M.Kauppi for supporting those in open, polyamorous and other forms of ethically non-monogamous relationships, and in S.A.F.E. EMDR approaches for individuals and couples.
